Members of the CAPS team have just wrapped up a world tour of events, where we learned about the challenges and best practices of our overseas member companies while bringing some brand new metrics, innovative research, strategies, and engaging discussion to the table.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team was in-office churning out great metrics, immersing ourselves in research, and producing event write-ups from Spring and Summer Critical Issue Exchanges (some of which are listed below and in Knowledge Central now). We're planning a busy Fall of events and research releases, so stay tuned. In the meantime, if there's anything you think we're doing well or something you'd like to see more of, please reply to this email - we'd love to hear from you!

Benchmarking metrics & survey opportunities

Quick fact: Is API replacing EDI?

In a recent Snapshots survey, participants were asked about their company’s use of application programming interfaces (APIs) to complement or replace electronic data interchange (EDI). Almost two-thirds (64%) of participants say they don’t use APIs for EDI activity and have no plans to, while 25% currently use APIs to complement EDI, but not replace it. In total, 79% say their company uses EDI.

Complete a survey, get helpful metrics in return

Surveys are for both members and non-members. We love your data, and in exchange, everyone who completes a survey receives a complimentary copy of its metric report. That said, CAPS members get extra care: breakout reports and custom survey opportunities. Email us at metrics@capsresearch.org to participate.

Note: If you are signed-up to receive surveys from CAPS, please add capsresearch@qualtrics-research.com and metrics@capsresearch.org to your safe sender list or visit Microsoft's instructions on adding emails to the inbox-safe list.
